Darrell Lee Brown III

Darrell Lee Brown III, 31, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was born November 11, 1985, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Darrell Lee Brown, Jr. and Connie Hess. He enjoyed spending time fishing and camping and was very artistic. His daughter, Brooklynn was the light of his life. He treasured time spent with her and also with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved music. Darrell was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Darrell is survived by his beloved daughter, Brooklynn Lee Brown; his parents, Darrell and Connie; his siblings, Timothy James Brown, Steven Michael Hess and Jami Lyn Alford (Curtis); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Anna Hess and Darrell Sr. and Judith Brown, and his nephew, Baby Mario Robles, Jr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, also at Hamilton's.
