Carol J. Gibson

Carol Gibson, 72, went home to be with her Lord Jesus, on May 3, 2017.

Carol valued her family, friends and serving the Lord, and shining her light. She is survived by her children, Theresa Link (Jeff), David Gibson, Sr. (Edna), Wayne Gibson (Jenice), Faith Brown (Tom), and Philip Gibson (Sue); fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Clifford, a brother, Robert; and a sister, Sally; and many more beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gibson of 47 years; and son, Ronald Gibson, Jr.; and a brother, Cecil Piper.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Burial will follow at Avon cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home.
