Christopher Pearson, 27, passed away May 2, 2017, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. He was born December 9, 1989, in Des Moines to John and Kim Pearson.
Christopher was a proud East High School graduate and loved the city of Des Moines. He was an avid sports fan who proudly rooted for the Chicago Cubs. Christopher also enjoyed music, storm chasing, fishing, and hunting for morel mushrooms.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Kim and John; sister, Kayla (Frank) Pearson; nephew, Daniel White Jr.; grandma, Jeanne VanLith; grandparents, David and Sue Cason; as well as other loving family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Don Pearson and grandma, MaryLou Lutton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with burial to follow at Rising Sun Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The family suggests that sports apparel or casual attire may be worn.

I am so sorry to hear of Christopher's passing. I know he fought hard and long. I still think of that great tall man as a smiling happy young boy. May you find peace in this time of grief.
