Myrna Meadows

Myrna Meadows, 78, passed away April 29, 2017 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Methodist.

Myrna was born July 30, 1938 in Thayer, Iowa to Ted and Helen Loy. At age 13 while attending Harding Middle School, she met John Meadows, who shared the same birthday, they were married January 27, 1956. Myrna enjoyed painting among many other things, above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Myrna is survived by her husband of 61 years, John; children, Brad, Jeff and Lisa Meadows; grandchildren, Ariella (Andy), Abbey (Eric), Ladd and Stone; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Ivy, Lark and Asa; and a host of extended family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ritzy (Bob).

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Myrna will be laid to rest Avon Lake Cemetery.
