Eric Andrew Mulhern, 38, passed away at his home April 20, 2017.
Eric was born November 4, 1978 in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy and Carol (Lyon) Mulhern. He graduated from Lincoln High School and Vatterott College. Eric enjoyed fishing, his friends and being a jokester. He was always the life of the party. He will be greatly missed.
Eric is survived by his wife, Amanda; six children, mother, Carol Mulhern and brother, Scott (Melanie) Mulhern; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy; his grandmother Margaret Lyon and his grandparents James and Velma Mulhern.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Elm Grove Cemetery, 6501 Indianola Ave. in Des Moines.

Eric , You were a wonderful man and such a wonderful father. We used to love it when we lived next to you and Erica with baby Kane then. All the fun we used to have and all the good times we spent hanging out. We will always love you! Our prayers to your wife and your children.
