Rebecca Sue Barton
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Rebecca “Becky” Barton, 65, passed away on April 14, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. She was born the daughter of Eugene & Anna Rupe on June 15, 1951 in Illinois.
Becky was a huge New York Mets fan and also loved NASCAR, her favorite driver was Bobby Labonte. One of her favorite things was cracking an ice cold Pepsi. Becky cherished time spent with her family, she especially loved her cats, Shady and Buddy.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sheryl (Allen, Jr.) Beery, and Sheila (Raymond Wyckoff) Tutor; eight grandchildren, Raechel Cox, Alyson Beery, Phillip Tutor, Allison Tutor, Quintin Beery, Dalton Post, Noah Sears, and Dylan Post; great-granddaughter, Emma Steward; and brother, Ron (Linda) Rupe.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” W. Barton.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

Becky was always around when I was growing up and she was always kind to me. I pray her trip across the bridge was peaceful and that her family finds peace in her passing.
