Clarence Rowe

Clarence Rowe, 83, passed away April 3, 2017, at his home in Urbandale, IA. He was born April 25, 1933, in Des Moines to Clarence and Hazel Rowe.
Clarence served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict and worked at John Deere for 30 years until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed watching Judge Judy, drag races and spending time with his dog, Gabby.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jo Rowe; children, Jill (Bill) Laidlaw, Bill (Tammy) Kyle, Deb (Ken) Saul, Ron Rowe and Renee Japhet; grandchildren, Bailey and Alexis Laidlaw, Shelby Kyle, Tawny (Aaron) Thielen, Breanna Kyle, Darrick and Mikaila Kyle-Murphy, Heather (Beau) Brauninger and Holly Rowe; Marshall and Cody Rowe and Shane Japhet; great-grandchildren, Chance, Elli, Mavrick, Kent, Chloe, Xoe, and Jasper; daughter-in-law, Lisa Rowe; brother, Ralph (Judy) Rowe; sister-in-law, Roberta Ickowitz; nephew, Dick (Anne) Bainter. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ralph Rowe; and sister, Bonnie Bainter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
