Service Details
Dorothy Butcher passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the age of 104. She was born to Harvey and Ada Sloan on August 24, 1912, in Kossuth County, Iowa.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Glen) Penenger; two grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) and Scott Penenger; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Breanna, Alexis and Lauren Penenger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Donald; nine siblings and her parents.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

My sympathy in the passing of your
Mother.
She was a wonderful teacher when I had her in grade school at
Howe Elementary back in the
50's.
She was a true professional.
