Ms. Long was my favorite elementary teacher at Des Moines Christian. She gave so much of herself to her music programs. We performed at many of the church's back in 1955 to 1967. She worked so hard to make sure we all sounded good. I took piano lesson from her she was so patient. She was truly a wonderful woman and great teacher. I was blessed to have known her.

I had Ms. Long at Howe School in the 70's. She was a very good teacher. We were lucky because we had her as our music teacher in every grade. I will always remember her using the pitch pipe! Thank you for many wonderful memories. May you bring music to the heavens.

She was such a sweet lady and we will always remember her smile and her cute little wave on sundays at church. She always made it over to say hello. Her beautiful spirit will certainly be missed.

Ms. Long was my favorite elementary teacher at Brooks. She did a revision on "Away in the Manger" which is sheet music I love and have shared in my church and with my children and grandchildren. My love for singing developed with her. I know she gave so much of herself to our music programs. We had a lovely visit several years ago. She was truly a wonderful woman and great teacher. I am thinking of all who will miss her the most. I was blessed to have known her.
