March 25, 2017
Jordan Charles Armstrong, 21, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017.
He was born November 15, 1995, in Omaha, Nebraska. Jordan graduated from Urbandale High School in 2014. He was proud of his job as a server at the Cheesecake Factory, where if he waited on you, you would not forget him! He loved his family dearly and had a special bond with his youngest sister Rylie, who knew him as “Big Bubba.” Jordan fell in love with Colorado after visiting his cousin Shad, and had dreams of eventually moving there. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing X-Box with his uncle Jamie and cousin Joe, and hanging out with his cat Jackson (Stinky). He spent hours fishing and mushroom hunting with his buddies. Jordan was always passionately pursuing and researching his many interests. He was very artistic and was especially good at drawing. He was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the Atlanta Falcons. He loved the Lion King and was affectionately known as Simba.
He is survived by his father Travis Armstrong, mother Diane (Ben) Proffitt, siblings Taylor Armstrong, Hunter and Rylie Proffitt, love of his life Valerie Costa, great-grandma Thornburg, grandparents and many extended relatives and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother Frankie.
