I was so shocked to hear of LeRoy's passing from my mom the other day. Just last week I had thought to give him a call for help with my taxes as he had helped me prepare them last year. I wish I would have called.
In the Spring of 2016, I was traveling to Iowa regularly to visit my mom in the ICU. During that time, Aunt Judy and Uncle LeRoy often let me stay with them, and were both so warm. LeRoy would stay up waiting for me to get back even if I was at the hospital until late. He knew I was scared. He would set up the Netflix so we could watch Jane the Virgin together and each night that I stayed there, he waited to go to bed until I had fallen asleep on the couch. He was such a kind person.
I am grateful for his sense of humor, interest in my future, and encouragement. LeRoy was a great uncle and I too wish I would have had more time with him. Sending so much love and thoughts of healing to my family in Iowa this week.

My deepest condolences to Judy & Family.
LeRoy & I had a pretty good time in high school, especially once we got our drivers license's. The only time I got hurt playing football was when he threw a cross-body block into me at knee level---during practice. I was planning to visit him this Summer when i came back there. Corliss was going to escort me. Memories are very vivid!!

To my dear Aunt Judy and family - I am so saddened by the loss my Uncle Leroy. He was very dear to Logan, Lauren, and I. We didn't get to spend as much time with him as we would have liked. I hope right now he is surrounded by billions random computer parts and eating tons of tootsie rolls. With much love and sadness. Raynee, Logan, and Lauren

I am sorry for your loss. Leroy was a town kid and I was a country kid but we grew up together. I have not seen him since we graduated high school but thought of him from time to time and wondered what his life turned out to be. I was happy to read he had great family and friends with him. Again, sorry for your loss.
