Darlene Hunt

Darlene M. Hunt, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away March 23, 2017 at the Carlisle Center for Wellness & Rehabilitation at the age of 92.

Darlene was born March 21, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Emma (Mueller) Pilmer. She had served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Iowa Avion Club.
Darlene was a member of Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church

Darlene is survived by her children, Jerry (Debra) Hunt and Judy Solem; grandchildren, Tiffany (Mark) McLemore, Joshua (Courtney) Hunt, Trisha Solem and Miranda (Brian) Pirillo; great-grandchildren, Max, Micah, Ashton, Logan, Keegan, Ryan, Emerson, Camille, Jackson, Mason and Bryson; sister, Shirley Prewitt; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond.

The family will greet friends from 4-6 pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lincoln Heights Lutheran Church.
