Diana McGriff

Diana Marie McGriff lost her battle with Alzheimer’s disease surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Genesis Senior Living.
Diana Marie Borghi was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 17, 1939 to Bruno and Martha Borghi. She graduated from East High School in 1959 and continued to receive an Associate’s Degree from AIB College of Business.
Diana worked for Farmer’s Casualty Insurance Company for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
She is survived by her spouse of 58 years, Jerry McGriff; daughters, Tammy Moylan (Mick) and Joleen McGriff (Greg Johnson); her grandchildren, Melissa Moylan, Stephanie Martin, and Joseph Schrodt; three great-grandchildren, Daemyn, Shayne and Izabella; brothers, Danny Borghi (Jorene) and Guido Sanger (Dorothy).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Diana will be laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery.
Diana’s family and friends are comforted knowing that Diana now knows who Diana is again.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Diana's passing. I have fond memories of Diana, Jerry, Tammy and Joleen at Schnoor holiday parties and summers at Lake Ponderosa. I remember Diana's beauty, kindness and smile. She will be missed. God bless.

Thoughts and Prayers during this trying time for the McGriff family. I remember Diana as a very nice woman who always treated me with respect and always seemed to have a smile and a kind word for me.
