Betty D. Rounds, 81, passed away March 13, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
Betty was born May 10, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska to Jerry and Mabel Burgett.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Chuck) Russo; grandchildren, Annie (Joe) Marchesano and Kevin Russo; mother, Mabel; siblings, Bonnie (Russ) Cogley and Bob (Val) Burgett; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; siblings, Jerry, Jr., Bev Wike and Tom.
The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18th at the funeral home followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Aunt Betty was a loyal and loving aunt to me and my sister's and was such a great mentor for my 3 daughters. Wherever they needed a question ask, we say call Betty. She dressed up a clown for our birthdays party's and always opened her home to us.
On a personal from me to my Aunt Betty..you are already missed, I walk around and feel out of routine. Spent so many hours on the phone enjoying each other's company and just listening to each other's problems. You never once told me to stop venting over a. issue but simply try to give me a better way to deal with it. I miss and need you. I know that's selfish. But it's true. For now I will remember will the things you told me to do and I will see you again . all my love and respect to you.
