Victor Connett, Sr., 74, passed away of acute myeloid leukemia on March 12, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
Victor was born May 11, 1942 in Des Moines to Edward and Vera (Butters) Connett. He served in the United States Navy. Victor was a truck driver for many years.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Saundra; children, Victor II, Rita (David), Lynn (Bob), Cookie (Mark), Victoria (Robert) and Vincent; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Ed (Janice), Jim and Connie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Sandy, I'm so sorry to hear about Vic. I doubt that you remember me but we were neighbors on Garfield when our kids were little. My last name was Fetters then. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
