Arnold Moreno, 63, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was born June 4, 1953 in Ennis Texas to Francisca and Guadalupe Moreno. Arnold was married July 9, 1983 to Trudy Page. They enjoyed almost 34 years of marriage together.
Arnold was a family man and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping, especially trips to Lake Marie. He was a NASCAR fan and also like playing poker and cards with friends. When Arnold was younger he played softball and coached girls softball for several years. More recently, he liked to park cars for the Iowa State Fair.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy Moreno; daughters, Pamela Moreno and Susan Moreno; grandchildren, Alberto Jr., José, Miguel, Luis Enrique, and Vanessa; sisters, Gloria Rodriguez Moreno, Margaret Moreno, RoseMary Dozal, and Francisca Soriano; brothers, Jesse Moreno, LeRoy Moreno, and Raul Moreno; and many other family and friends.
Arnold was preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Moreno; and brother, Julian Moreno.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Family will greet friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the funeral. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
