Service Details
Pauline Thomas Husted, 83, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 13, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Pauline was born July 3, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to Clarence and Ethel Carpenter. She was retired from Western International. She enjoyed spending time with family, passing down family recipes, and gardening. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Gary) Wright, sons, Ernest Thomas and Tommy (Terry) Dawson, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Thomas Sr. and Standly Husted, son, Ralph Thomas Jr., and grandson, T.J. Wright.

RIP Aunt Pauline....you were the only Woman I ever knew as "Aunt" and I loved you dearly! I only regret not keeping in touch all these years, definitely my loss as you were such a wise woman whom I always had the utmost respect for!
