As a beginning math teacher at Kurtz Junior High, Felix was one of my first friends and mentors. He was so helpful in getting me started on a smooth path to a teaching career. I retired after 35 years but have always remembered Felix kindly. A great guy!

I feel honored to have had the opportunity to know this man. He was my Math instructor at Brody but a family friend already as my father served with him in the IANG. I was honored to serve with him as well when I joined the guard in '81 and enjoyed an occasional guard drill lunch with him. He touched many lives and will be missed.

I am 57 years old but I have never forgotten Mr. Augspurger. He was kind, understanding and he had a wonderful sense of humor. I struggled so hard with math but he always encouraged me and never made me feel stupid like I thought I was. He made a powerful impression on me. God has a truly beautiful angel. Rest in peace, Mr. Augspurger.

I knew Dorothy and Felix from my years at St. John's. They were a lovely couple. Felix would occasionally bring us back grapefruit from their winter trips. Rich and I would visit them at their southside home and always have a good time. Our prayers go out to the family.

He was my math teacher at Brody...we didn't get along but that was becasue I was young and dumb. He kicked me out of school because one day I wore an American flag sewn onto the butt of my pants. Much much later I understood his disgust on my lack of respect. I recognized his photo right away in his obit. He looked the same as he always did but his buzz cut was much more profound back in the 70's. I learned something from him and it had nothing to do with school. my thoughts go out to his family.

I taught across the hall from Felix at Brody from 1971 until he left for Kurtz in the early 80's.
We continued to meet regularly for a drink for many years thereafter.
What a wonderful man & wonderful friend he was.
He had an impact on so many lives & will be greatly missed.

I had Mr Ausperger for math at Irving back in the 60's. He was awesome. I would go back he could explain math to me in a way that I could understand. I think of him whenever I have a math problem that stumps me. He was amazing!
