Sheryl (Shepherd) Lafleur

Sheryl Sue (Shepherd) Lafleur, age 65, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, IA.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, IA, on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

Sheryl was born January 22, 1952, in Des Moines, IA, to William and Beatrice (Strong) Shepherd. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite pastimes included cooking, watching TV, and talking on the phone. She lived, she laughed, she loved.

Sheryl is survived by her children, Tina (Erich) Palait, Daniel (Marion) Wilson, and Paul Wilson; grandchildren, Craig Clopton, Robert (Shayla) Clopton, Cara Clopton, and Danielle Butterfield; great-grandson, Gabriel Clopton; siblings, Ruth (Gene) Hodges, George (Cindy) Shepherd, Merrill Shepherd, Tracy (Terry) Heisler, and January (Larry) Post; and many other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beatrice Shepherd, brother, William “Butch” Shepherd, and sister-in-law, Donna Shepherd.
