I got to know Mike Gravett at Luther College in classes and as a writer for the college newspaper. He, being liberal disagreed with me, a conservative, on just about everything but we had wonderful conversations about most everything including politics. The measure of Mike was that he was your friend because of differences and not in spite of them. He was smart, funny, and very genuine, and I treasure the memories I have of him. I grieve his passing and will pray for him and his family.

I worked for Mike a number of years ago, he gave me my second job ever when I was a teenager. He was a really nice, genuine guy who really helped me out. I was glad to have known him. All my thoughts to the family.
