It was our pleasure to be Clair's neighbors up the street and we only wish we had gotten to know him sooner. What an amazing and kind person. We can never thank him enough for his gift of sharing his life experiences with us. We could have talked to him for hours on end. What a wonderful man who will be missed. Hugs, Sylvia and Ray B.

David & Rick,
What fond memories I have of "uncle" Clair. Plane rides and visiting the store. The Harpers were very much like family when I was growing up. Blessings and prayers.

Rick, Mary and family,
We were Your neighbors, Mary, on Knob Hill Dr for years, and met dear sweet Clair through you at out annual Christmas open house. What nice visits we had with you both.
Rick, It took a number of years for us to connect our knowing Clair with you being his son, and so glad we did. You have been a great colleague and friend, working with you on flooring projects both at UnityPoint Health and in our home through Ralph N Smith. So pleased to have known this fine man. What great memories he has left you with-to choose from and enjoy as you grieve the loss of the Claire we all learned to love. His legacy, which He was so proud of, is left through you all, your children and grandchildren. Please know you are thought of, prayed for and warmly remembered at this time of loss. I remember my first airplane ride, with Clair, when I was a little girl at church. He was such a friendly guy, all thru the years. My prayers are with the family.

I had the distinct pleasure of being Clair's pharmacist. I truly enjoyed him every time he came in. He liked to talk about his love of flying. I made sure to greet him at the Veteran's Day breakfasts. He had wonderful stories. He is my hero. He will be missed, but I will never forget what a wonderful man he was. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Peace be with you.

Sorry to hear about Clair; haven't seen him in years, although I did talk to him a couple of years ago. Knew him through Lowell Sanquist back in the 70's.
