Ramona Pebbles

Ramona Jean Pebbles, 79, of Des Moines, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Taylor House surrounded by her loving family. Ramona was born on November 12, 1937 in Putman County, MO. to Mable Ann (Morgan) and Ralph E. Newland.
Ramona retired in 2000 after 15 years of dedicated service from Mercantile Bank. She also sold Avon for over 17 years. Ramona loved camping, making crafts and her flower gardens. Most important to her was her family and making them #1 in her life.
Ramona is survived by her loving children, Russell Pebbles, Ryle (Rachel) Mac Pebbles and Rachelle (Wayne) Ware; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; daughter, Rebecca and two sons, Ricky and Randy and her brother, Jack Newland
Ramona’s family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Avon Cemetery.

Mona was one of those people who had a zest for life. Always a smile and ready to have a good time. We think back to all the great times we had together and how she was always the bell of the ball. She was a dear person, good friend and fun to be around. Miss you
