Denny Bradshaw

Denny Loraine Bradshaw, 66, passed away at her home February 21, 2017.

Denny was born June 9, 1950 in Des Moines to Ruth and Russell Townsley. She was a kind and generous soul who always gave more than she got. Denny cared for friends and family her whole life. She volunteered at the Polk City Fire Department for 10 years, after they saved her life in 1993. Denny volunteered at DMARC Food Bank and was a frequent donor to the local homeless shelters. While working at Trinity Center at Luther Park, she cared for many residents and did everything she could to make the residents happy. Her few indulgences included going to Prairie Meadows, vacationing in Las Vegas and spoiling her granddaughter, Gabby.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Tim) Carlson; granddaughter, Gabby Carlson; and her siblings, Russell and Bridget Townsley.

Denny was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A private graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
