Nancy Sue Frame
January 30, 2017
Nancy Sue Warren Frame, 61, of West Des Moines passed away on January 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, with visitation on Monday, February 6 from 4-8 pm and the funeral service on Tuesday, February 7 at 10:00 am. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will immediately follow at Noah’s Event Center in West Des Moines.
Nancy was born and raised in Corydon, Iowa with her parents, Clell and Ruth Warren, sister Janet and brother Andy. She graduated from Wayne Community High School in 1974 and the Court Reporting program at AIB in 1976. Nancy was a certified shorthand reporter for Huney, Vaughn & Associates for over 35 years.
On May 25, 1991 she was united in marriage to Jeff Frame.
Nancy’s passion was being with family and friends and enjoyed adventures with each and every one of them. It was impossible to spend time with Nancy and Jeff without having a good time. Nancy loved being outdoors, especially when on her bike. Her other favorite activities included tailgating at Cyclone games, cheering on the St Louis Cardinals, traveling to new destinations (visiting all 50 states), looking up shark videos with her great-nephews and never missing the Drake relays (no matter what the weather!). Cancer tried to slow her down but she refused to sit around and feel sorry for herself continuing to do exactly what she wanted - even if that meant taking along a cane or wheelchair. Everything was always done with a gentle smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye.
Nancy will be greatly missed by those left behind: Jeff, Janet (Ken) Lacey and Andy (Kris) Warren; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Kathee Frame; brother-in-law, Steve ( Ann ) Frame; nephews and nieces; Ben (Katie) Lacey, Scott (Kim) Lacey, Tara (Dan) White, Jenna (Kaden Van Maanen) Lacey, Aric, Adam, and Kyle Warren, Sarah and Hannah Frame; great-nephews and niece: Luke, Lincoln, Owen, Jack, Oliver and Lydia Lacey and Barrett, Ty, Ryder and Hudson White; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Clell and Ruth Warren; and grandparents, Oral and Edith Warren, and Newt and Blanche Danner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Unity Point Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

It was a honor to have coached Nancy in basketball and track at Wayne High School. Nancy placed in the 100 yard dash at the Drake Relays, and ran on a select team at the Relays. I was pleased to be present when Nancy was honored at the Wayne Relays, in 2015. A great competitor with a great smile. Nancy can now run with the Angels.
