Michael Chesteen Naylor, 68, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017, at his home in Des Moines. Mike was born January 9, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Chesteen and Loretta (Howser) Naylor. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked in the automotive industry for most of his life. Mike enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and tinkering on projects. He like playing on his computer and playing video games. He had the “gift of gab” but was a great listener too. He could play many instruments by ear, and was especially gifted at the drums and accordion. Above all else, Mike treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kathie Naylor; together they shared 32 years. He is also survived by his children, Michael Raymond Naylor, Michelle Miller, Robert (Terrie) Naylor, Joshua (Sarah Strickland) Naylor, Jessica (Bobby) Davey, and Jeremy Naylor; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his first wife, Nancy Molloy; and many other loving relatives and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kandie Sue Naylor and his parents, Chesteen and Loretta Naylor.
According to the family’s wishes, a private viewing will be held with cremation following. There will be no public services held at this time. Celebration of life at a later date.

It's been a real pleasure knowing you for 37 years I'm sure going to miss us doing things together and just spending time doing nothing .
