Dear Norma & family,
I was saddened to read an Email from Janet Haag re the passing of your son Matthew. I had heard in the past that he'd suffered both an auto & a football injury which left some disabilities. This must have nearly devastated you as a mother -- I know I'd have Great trouble dealing with my beloved child suffering and having such challenges. Losing your husband youngish also has been a life-altering event for you, Norma .... it can seem rather unfair by our human evaluations .. !?
While I have seen Julie and Dona a 'few times' since we all left our Teens, I've only seen 2-3 pics with you in them [recently, Janet passed via Email Emily's wedding ]. Still blondish hair ?! I always So Enjoyed a Day at the Farm - and [ironically!] I have lived now 22 yrs. on a Maryland grain farm. Our only animals were several small dogs years ago that always stayed outdoors and 3 cats (my dear Pookie died Easter '05): a male outdoors & female Scamp inside .....
I hope your Faith, your Family&Friends are there in your Heart & by your side at this SAD Time of Loss of your dear son, MATT --- any consolation one could find might be that he is at PEACE, no longer challenged, and no pain and/or other maladies he may have dealt with. God will hold him securely & Lovingly and Matt will live in One of Our Lord's Many Mansions until you, Al, and Luke, Denny, Dean, your parents and all Loved-Ones will one day be together.
Find SOLACE in this and please receive my Heart-Felt condolences .... when I first saw Matt's age 33, I thought OH! he's older than I thought -- but then slightly was amused to myself re Age - as my Jeannie is 32 1/2 now. She has a girl Alissa (3) and boy Andrew (1) - little strawberry blondies ! I don't Love them MUCH ... ha ha ... like "adore 'em" --- If you ever get to central MD, let me know.
God comfort you in your & Matt's brother's grief and KNOW He's taking better care of Matt than all the family, friends & medical staff on thisEarth can do ... think of Matt as an ANGEL atop your Christmas Tree ... Sing a few extra beloved Carols just for him & To Him . . . he will hear you ~ ~
much Love,
2nd Cousin Barbara
