Lora Willow Cone
January 19, 2017
Our little angel Lora Willow Cone was born on November 24, 2016. She was a true hero to everyone she came in contact with. She joined her many angels on January 19, 2017 with her family by her side. Lora loved having her hair played with, being cuddled whenever she wanted, and she especially loved kisses from her big brother, Landon.
Lora Willow is survived by her parents, Tanner Cone and Tony Wahl; big brother, Landon Wahl; grandparents, Mimi Richelle and Papa Tim Cone, and Valerie and Richard Wahl; great-grandparents, GG Richard and GG Carolyn Lukehart; aunts and uncles, Cory (Stephanie) Cowden, Chad Cowden, Kelly (Mandi) Cowden, Taylor (Aaron Mailey) Cone, and Abbey Wahl; cousins, Sidney Cowden, Danny Cowden, and Alister Mailey; and many great-aunts and uncles, friends and family.
Thank you to Pastor Daniel Murtha for having the heart to speak for Tanner when she couldn’t do it herself. To April May and Allison Reynolds with hospice, for being there every step of the way and being such great support. Family and friends, for all the love, prayers and thoughts through this very difficult time.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA with visitation on Monday, January 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the funeral service on Tuesday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m.

To my daughter Tanner Cone, I can truly not tell you enough how much I love you ! In all the days and nights you and I spent with little Lo taking care of her and making sure she lived, you amazed me every single day and night how much compassion you had and have for your children. As tired and exhausted as you were you continued to take the most loving, kind care for her as any DR. Or nurse would have. Tanner you ARE MY hero and I'm so GLAD you are mine. Little Lo is flying high and healthy . Just remember Tanner she wants you to stay on track and follow your dreams so you can take good care of her big brother. I love you Tanner Cone as much as you love your daughter and don't ever forget that.

Although I never met your little angel I knew of her struggle and of your loving and courageous effort to give her comfort during her short life. Tanner and Richelle, your are amazing caregivers and I am so sorry for your loss. I will hold all of you in prayer during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss and so proud of the way you all took such loving care of her. When it hurts the most try to remember all that she knew of this world was your unconditional love.

My heart hurts for your loss. Sometimes angels are only meant to be here on earth long enough to get their wings and fly. Lora was obviously very special and was needed in heaven for a reason.hugs and prayers to you all.
