David Arthur Reseland

David Arthur Reseland, 77, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation Monday, January 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. and the funeral service on Tuesday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m. Dave will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Dave was born April 14, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to Helga (Kjelland) and Carl Arthur Reseland. He worked as a custodian for RR Donnelly until retirement. Dave enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, playing cribbage, bowling, woodworking and volunteering for Pony Express at Camp Sunnyside.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Reseland; his children, Debbie (Mark) Webster, Doug (Dawn) and Mark (Megan Rash) Reseland; his sister, Kjella (Doug) Piper; grandchildren, Trey (Jenny), Ryan (Kelsey), Nicole, Blake, Alec, Cody, Steven, Josh and Chris; and great-grandchild, Dillon. Dave was preceded in death by his parents.

Dave was a great person, I would see him at the service station and we would always have good conversations about bowling. He was always good to me and very kind. He raised a great family, I think speaks volumes about the type of person dave was. My thought and prayers go out to the entire family, rest in peace dave.

Marge,Mark and family......thinking of you all. Praying for strength for you all in the upcoming days ahead...Dave is no longer in any pain or discomfort he suffered from that horrible disease. He is pure again. Until you all meet up with him again, you have so many memories to hold close to your heart. Nobody can take that away...take care. Hugs to you all...
