Norma Hopkins

Norma Hopkins, 82, died Thursday, November 29, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at Unity Lutheran Church with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Norma was born May 8, 1925 in Des Moines to Charles and Thora Dickey. She was a member of Unity Lutheran Church. Norma was an auditor for Sears until her retirement in 1987. She was active in her church and enjoyed flower gardening, knitting and embroidery. In recent years she enjoyed living with her niece Michelle in Grinnell, IA.
Norma is survived by her brothers, Charles (Dorothy) Dickey of Des Moines and Alan (Sue) Dickey of Salem, OR; sister, Delores (John) Waldron of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hopkins and her parents.
