Vera L. Keul

Vera Lou Keul was born June 2, 1924 in Des Moines to Gail Royal and Lou (Rector) McLeran. She passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Union Park Health Care Center at the age of 92.

Vera retired from Camelot Cleaners in 1999 after several years of service. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for everyone and watching golf on television.

Vera is survived by her sons, James (Brenda) Snyder and Jim (Marsha) Keul; brothers, Jerry McCLaren, Nile (Diane) McLeran and Herbert “Butch” Folsom; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; and her husband, Carl Keul; and her son, Timothy Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Union Park Health Care Center.
