Nicholas “Nick” Deane Butler, 31, passed away unexpectedly at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 6, 2017.
Nick was born March 7, 1985 to Rick and Sherri Butler in Des Moines. He attended Lincoln High School. Nick enjoyed camping and spending time on his aunt and uncle’s farm. He was an avid Minnesota Viking fan. Nick’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with his niece Jordyn.
Nick is survived by his loving parents, Rick and Sherri (Ford) Butler; sister, Stephanie; niece Jordyn; grandmother, Edith Butler; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan Butler and Marvin and Ardythe Ford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss. I remember when he was born and how proud your parents were. I loved working with your mom and I miss talking to her. Thoughts and prayers for your family.
