Robert “Bob” I. Hunt, 76, died on January 3, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born in Council Bluffs on November 10, 1940.

Bob was a graduate of Glenwood High School. He worked for Charlies Deep Rock Service Station in Glenwood for many years, and retired in 2004 from Kinder Morgan Inc. He served in the Iowa National Guard. Bob met the love of his life, Brenda (Trimmer), when they were 3 years old at Sunday school. He loved wildlife, bird watching, his cat Cleddy, and was a model train enthusiast. Above all, he loved his granddaughters, Sara, Carrie, Courtney and Allison.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Denise (Roy Middleswart) Hunt and son, Robert (Julie Huey) Hunt; granddaughters, Sara Stevens, Carrie Stevens, Courtney Hunt and Allison Hunt; his brother, Galen Hunt; along with a host of beloved family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Trimmer) Hunt.

Private graveside services were held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Bondurant Cemetery in Bondurant, Iowa.
