Krista Marie Green was born on October 3, 1979 to Rick and Jackie Green in Des Moines, Iowa. She died in a plane crash on December 31, 2016 in Vienna, Illinois.
Krista worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at Mercy Prairie Trail Family Medicine. She loved to watch her son play baseball. She also enjoyed dancing, singing, going camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Krista had a beautiful smile and a wonderful personality. She made people smile just by walking into a room. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Krista is survived by her 12 year old son, Austin Follis; mother, Jackie (Marty) Stephenson of Mitchellville; father, Rick (Marge) Green of Osceola; brothers, Shawn (Kori) Green of Mingo and Dusty (fiancée Olivia) Green of Donnellson; sister, Chelsey Green of Osceloa; grandmothers, Ellen Mabrier of Bradenton, FL and Twyla Smith of Osceola; nephews, Gage McNeeley and Hunter Green of Mingo; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Krista was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Carroll Mabrier and Noah Green and her aunt, Teri Green.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017, with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street SW, Altoona. Burial will follow at Altoona Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Krista or directly to Keystone Bank, 6871 NE 12th Ave, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327 with checks made payable to Krista Green Memorial Fund.

Krista worked for us at Delaware Family Medicine & Pediatrics, and in her time there, certainly touched a lot of the staff and patients. I am thankful to have known her. I am so sad for her loss & have deepest sympathy for Austin and the rest of those closest family and friends.

We knew Krista through our niece Janee. She was such a kind soul and always smiling! She touched everyone who knew her in such a positive way. She made great memories with all her friends, but this will leave a hole in everyones heart.

Austin, There is nothing I can say to make anything make since if all of this! All I can say is that you will always be in my thoughts and know that you were your mothers #1 all time favorite! Hold your fond memory's close to your heart as no one will ever take that from you! Remember one thing your mother is always with you! You are not alone and you have tons of support all around you!
