Betty Buttrey

Betty Lorraine Buttrey, age 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 31, 2016. She was born February 7, 1931 in New Canton, IL to James and Pearl (Banks) McBride.

Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Betty is survived by her children, Frank (Dora) Buttrey, DeWayne (Pat) Buttrey, Linda Buttrey, and Twila (Ken) Grylls, 26 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, sons, Eugene and David, daughter, Rose Ann, parents, James and Pearl, three sisters, and one brother.
