Kathrine M. Bailey

Kathrine M. Bailey, 89, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at her home in Des Moines, surrounded by her family.

Kathrine was born May 3, 1927, in Exira, Iowa to Alfred and Luella Baker. She was raised on the family farm and lived most of her life in the Des Moines area. She was a retired bindery worker and enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Kathrine is survived by her three sons, Michael Jones, David Jones, and Kevin “John” Bailey; grandchildren, Margaret (Mark) Evans, Lisa (Jim) Lihs, Anna (Curt) Smith, Hope (Tony) Seibert, and Jason (Jessica) Deitrick; and six great-grandchildren.

According to Kathrine’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity close to your heart in Kathrine’s name.
