Dalton Elliott, 17, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016. Dalton was born March 29, 1999, to Eric Elliott and Sarah West in Jefferson, Iowa.
Dalton was a senior at Southeast Polk High School in Altoona. He participated in FFA, track, and baseball. He loved horses and the rodeo and always wanted to be a bull rider. He was in 4H and participated in the Junior Rodeo in Goldendale, Washington. He worked at Dominoes Pizza and volunteered at the Iowa State Fair. After high school, Dalton wanted to join the US Marine Corps. He will be remembered as being free spirited and kind-hearted. He loved to play the guitar and listen to country music, and being in the great outdoors—hunting, fishing, and camping.
Dalton is survived by his father, Eric Michael (Aundrea) Elliott; mother, Sarah D. West; siblings, Addison Elliott, Izabelle Elliott, Abby Sheeder, William K. Elliott, and Athena Little; grandparents, David (Jill) West, Lisa D. Elliott, and Kenny (Patti) Coglizer; great-grandparents, Cathy E. Elliott and Josephine Jewel West; many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his cousin, Brandon Fredrick Elliott; great-grandparents, Fredrick Mark Elliott, Lucille and Gorden Mower, William “Bill” West, and Mary Julia Bell; and great-great-grandparents, Mark and Helen B. (Ludwig) Elliott.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Adventure Life Church, 1700 8th Street SW, Altoona, IA. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Hi Im his younger sister who at the time was 5 I am now 13 and I really miss him.yet the death was unexpected I still miss rip Dalton I love you

Our condolences go out to Dalton's Family Dollar was a real real good friend of my son Levi's he's a really good friend he's a really cool kid we had him over last Super Bowl time and we argued over who was going to win I think he was a really cool guy and he's really going to be missed our condolences go out to his family we will keep him and his family in our prayers I will always remember that super day we had at the Super Bowl party rest in peace the Hood family
