Eva Sommers

Eva Sommers was born September 27, 1939 on Canon Creek in Kentucky to Mellie and Charlie Johnson. She passed away December 28, 2016 at the age of 77.

Eva retired after many years of dedicated service in clerical with CDS Data Services. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family – especially her grandson.

Eva is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Dale Sommers and Richard Sommers; her daughter in-law, Cheri Sommers; her grandson, Sean Sommers; her brother, W. Larry Johnson; and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet guests starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery.
