Kenneth Greenwood

Kenneth Greenwood, passed away on December 27, 2016, at Bishop Drumm in Des Moines. He was born on June 12, 1924, in Des Moines, to Earl and Mary Greenwood.

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Union Iron Worker, Local 67, for 27 years and loved watching NASCAR and football.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Michael) Carico and sons, John (Melinda) Greenwood and Raymond Greenwood; brother, Tom (Norma) Greenwood; six grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Madison, Jake, Mike and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary; brother, Raymond Greenwood; and daughter, Linda Robinson.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday December 31, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with a 12:00 p.m. graveside service to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
