David E. Moses

David E. Moses, 61, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Broadlawns Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 16, 1955 to Edward and Barbara Moses.
David enjoyed watching Nascar and hanging out with friends. He had a passion for automobiles. His greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren, knowing he was blessed with their love and compassion.
David is survived by his children, Joanna (Brian) Moffatt, Christopher Moses, and Jordan Moses; grandchildren, Tyler and Connor Moffatt; mother, Barbara Moses; sister, Cheryll (Chris) Halstead; brother, Glenn (Helen) Moses; nephews, Dan Halstead and Mike (Megan) Halstead; niece, Katie (Zach) Martin; and a host of other loving family and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Moses.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Family will greet friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of David which will be designated to colon cancer research.

Cheryll and family,
So sorry for your loss. We will miss our random conversations with David and the way he treated all of us like family. I know that I will remember him every time I see a bag of candy corn. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Oh, Cheryll...I am so sorry to see this news. I didn't realize this happened. Please know that we all will remember him with such fond memories. But I will especially remember our banter back and forth and his complete honesty and humor. You are in my thoughts.

Jordan and Pat and your entire family. So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I have many memories from the old days on Roseland Dr. He will be missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers
