Kristine Lynn Kessler

Kristine Kessler passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones on December 20, 2016. She was born on June 22, 1950 to Robert and Patricia Brown in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kristine graduated from Norwalk High School in 1968 and married Jeffrey Kessler on August 15, 1970. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family more than anything else in life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jerry Brown. She is survived by her husband, her four children, Jennifer (John) Kessler, Emily (Dave) Hodson, Katie List, and Jeff (Kelly) Kessler, her six grandchildren, Mat and Bailey Hodson, Madison (Seth) Harjes, Lily and Louisa List, and Lydia Kessler; and her siblings, Judy Kenoyer, Robert Brown, Dixie Black, Cathy Fuson, and Terry Brown.
She left behind many dear friends and relatives who will deeply miss her warm and caring smile, as well as her sweet, bubbly, and fun-loving personality. Hers was a life well-lived.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Berwick Cemetery. Her family will receive visitors Friday evening at the funeral home from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

I worked with Kris in the '90's - she was a beautiful, kind, funny, compassionate and smart woman. I have many fond memories of her. Praying for you all during this hard time.
