Stacy Dewayne McCombs, 46, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Stacy was born March 12, 1970 in Des Moines, Iowa to Larry and Carla (Merryfield) McCombs. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing, boating, and motorcycles and especially loved spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his father Larry (Jeannie) McCombs, sister, Gidgit McCombs, and his nephew, Dylan McCombs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carla McCombs.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. There will be a graveside committal service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel.

Our Dad's used to run around together which is how I knew Stacy. It has been many many years ago. My heart goes out to the family; I am so very sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family from Texas.

I just want to tell the family Im so sorry for your loss. Stacy was a great guy with a big heart. When I would see him out,which was a long time ago he always had a smile on his face. He was good at making people feel important. I never heard him ever say he didn't like someone. He liked everyone and everyone liked Stacy. He was full of life. He will truly be missed. Im glad I had the chance to know him.
