Billie Jensen

Billie (Brown) Jensen, age 88, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at her home in Des Moines.

Billie was born October 15, 1928 in Creston, Iowa to Irma and Frank Brown. She grew up in Creston, graduating from Creston High School.

She was a faithful member of Cornerstone PCG. She was an avid reader and had an overwhelming love for family and the Lord.

Billie is survived by her children, Rosetta Harvey and Frank Jensen; nine grandchildren: Melissa Campbell, Jayna Shoemaker, Edward Harvey III, Bethann Kenoyer, Kenneth Harvey, Dane Jensen, Heather Knippers, Malcolm Jensen and Ben Jensen and 19 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth A. Jensen on March 3, 2016, her parents, Frank and Irma Brown and her daughter, Karen L. Brown.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with visitation to follow the service.
