Katelynn (Kat) Gould

Katelynn (Kat) Rose Gould went to be with Jesus on December 12, 2016. She was a beautiful young lady who was born to Shawn and Tammy (Guerrero) Gould on February 21, 1997, in Chesapeake, VA.

Kat believed the best in everyone. She had a caring and giving heart, and was generous to a fault. Kat lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family at the Blank Park Zoo.

Although her life was dramatically cut short, the love she gave and received will continue to live on forever.

Kat is survived by her parents, Shawn and Tammy Gould; siblings, Felecia Neil (Stephen) and her sister, Natasha McCurdy (Scott); Jason Gould, and Rosamae Gould; many nieces and nephews; grandparents, Jerry and Cathy Guerrero; Pamela and Jimmy Salcido; Uncle Bubba and Sabrina Guerrero; as well as her cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Vivi Matherly; great-grandmother, Rosa Mae Matherly, and great-grandfather, Joe B. Guerrero.

A celebration service in remembrance of Kat will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Eternity Church, 2000 NW 100th Street in Clive, IA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Blank Park Zoo – In Memory of Katelynn Gould or Children & Families of Iowa – Domestic Violence Shelter.
