Shannon Medrano

Shannon Kay Medrano, 56, passed away on December 12, 2016 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. She was born on November 1, 1960 in Guthrie Center, IA to John and Shirley Llewellyn.

Shannon loved her family, especially her grandbabies who called her “Mema”. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making rustic crafts and sewing, and gardening. Shannon had a very close relationship with God and always had her Bible with her.

She is survived by her loving children, Marc, Lakesha, Ketarah, and Justine; mother, Shirley; siblings, Cindy, Marcia, Shelley, and Tom; and several grandchildren.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, John, and her husband, Robert.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral.
