Allen Hildreth, 79, died at his home Monday, November 26, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Allen was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Allen was a truck driver for 40 years before his retirement in 1985 and was a member of the Teamsters Local Union.
Allen is survived by daughters, Roxanna and Juan Gonzales of Forks, WA and Ellen Bloodgood of Des Moines; a sister; a brother; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Delores; infant daughter, Jean’ea Rae; his parents; and several siblings.
