Roxann Thompson
November 26, 2016
On November 26, 2016, Roxann Thompson, age 67, went to be with the angels in Heaven. Roxann was born May 5, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, Iowa. She enjoyed camping, fishing, darts, and playing cards, but her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Roxann is survived by three daughters: Shelly Reber and her son, Zackery (McKenzie); Christine Sells (Mike) and their three sons, Michael (Amber), Jacob, and Noah; and Cindy Harrington (Marshall) and their son, David. She is also survived by four sisters: Diane Mason, Doris Carpenter, Toni Thompson, and Kelli Vorrath, and many other loving extended family and friends.
The family wants to say a special thank you to Larry Chapman for being a wonderful friend and companion to Roxann.
Roxann was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Thompson and her parents, Raymond and Reva Cox. Roxann will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, also at Hamilton’s, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Roxann. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
