Constance JoAnn Stevens

Connie Stevens, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was born May 26, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Connie worked for Drake University in the Admissions Department for over 15 years. She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Cathedral. In her spare time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed time spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim; daughters, Alisa Stevens (Tony Davis) and Amber (Michael) McCord; grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Joshua, Jesse, and Adrian; brother, Max Carlton; and a host of other extended family and many loving friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Katherine Carlton; step-mom, Ruth; sister, Cathy DePhillips; brother, Michael Carlton; and her son, Michael VanDama.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, December1, 2016 at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 607 High Street in Des Moines.
