Phyllis Frette Des Moines
Phyllis Frette, 75, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was born on September 15, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Phyllis supported Campfire Boys & Girls as well as many other United Way Programs. She cherished time spent with family, friends and her Strategic America work family.
Phyllis is survived by her sons, Mark Frette, Keith Frette (Marti), and Craig Frette all of Des Moines, IA.; daughters, Jodi Bruce (Jim) of Arlington, TX, and Kathy Cunningham (Jim) of Johnston, IA.; brother, Everett Mauch of Bondurant, IA.; sister-in-law, Jean Mauch; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. and Edith Mauch; sister, Evelyn Cushman; brother, Kendall Mauch; sister-in-law, Carol Mauch; and grandson, Curtis Gearhart.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 30th also, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Altoona Cemetery in Altoona, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hope Lodge of Iowa City in loving memory of Phyllis.

Phyllis was an excellent employee at the Camp Fire office as well as friend. She was willing to go the extra mile all the time. Her family was very important to her. I am sending this to the family. I will not be able to attend either of the events.My condolences to the family. I think I know all of you. I appreciate all you did to help us at the Camp Fire office and with all the events we had. Phyllis was a great friend that I met thru her friend Chris Kerr. I still remember our really nice conversation at the time Chris passed. My condolences to your whole family at this time.

Phyllis was a dear friend always ready to help with any need a friend might have. Phyllis personified the word patience . I can't remember ever seeing her angry. As a role model, she was the greatest as witnessed by her wonderful children. My condolences to all
