Michelle Stone

Michelle Lynn Stone, age 44, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at On With Life in Ankeny.

Michelle was born April 15, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa to Mark Stone and Shari Hiatt. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and cherished her family. She was a very strong person. Michelle enjoyed music and was an animal lover, especially cats. She had a great sense of humor. She loved telling stories and could make anyone laugh. She was always planning family get-togethers and will be remembered as an excellent cook.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 16 years, John Romine; children, Colton and Casie (Anthony), grandchildren, A.J. and Adrianna; parents, Shari (Jim) and Mark (Elaine); parents-in-law, John Sr. Romine and Marcie Romine; brother, Douglas (Marcy); niece and nephews, Matt Stone, Addie Stone, and Camden Stone; grandmother, Adeline Hiatt; sister-in-law, Jennifer Carre; and many other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Hiatt, Jack (Genevieve) Stone, and Carol Farris; aunt, Marcia Stone; and uncle-in-law, Billy Romine.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
