Floyd Bresee

Floyd M. Bresee, 93, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Genesis Senior Living Center.

Floyd was born May 19, 1923 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Frank and Violet Bresee. He graduated from Perry High School in 1941 and proudly served in the United States Army. Floyd had lived in the Des Moines area since 1950. He retired from Wolf’s Women’s Apparel after 35 years of service. Floyd was a member of Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church and the Otley Lodge No. 299, Perry, Iowa.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Donna; daughter, Tami Lutzke; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; brother, Jim Bresee; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Joyce and Delores.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 19th at the funeral home followed by burial at the Masonic Cemetery.
